So Brandy C posted her "Dirty Laundry" this week. It made me laugh because it is a lot like mine. And no we are not talking about clothes-well maybe in some peoples case but not mine. No we are talking about how life is right now with kids and well Life. So I give you "My Dirty Laundry".
My house is most always a mess. It used to bother me. I used to try to pick up before Mike came home-four kids later, I have learned to breathe and hope he doesn't notice. (He did tell me the other day that he tries to not notice and he knows it is the kids making the mess and not me not attending to it.) Nice Save there buddy.
It just seems impossible to keep a room clean because I clean it and then it is a mess again.
Somewhere in the past 5 years I have developed ADD where cleaning is concerned. Ok maybe the problem is that I start something, then someone needs to potty or be fed or there is a meltdown or wrestling match and I have to tend to it and forget about the previous project.
If I don't get to fold a load of laundry by the afternoon or by the time Mike comes home-I will shove it back in the dryer.
I am pretty sure I flashed the neighbor yesterday. I was in the garden and wearing a shirt I do not normally wear and did not factor in the weight of the veggies I was putting in the bottom of the shirt to pull down the top of the shirt. I did inform my husband. Chances are, this wasn't the first time.
My kids have pajama days about once a week but they do brush their teeth.
When Mike is not home for dinner-we eat pizza, pb&J, or some other sandwich.
My crock pot is my new best friend.
Some days I forget to eat. I notice I feel light headed and wonder why...oh yeah dummy you fed everyone but yourself!
In the end, everyone is fed, somewhat happy (as happy as a 3, 5 and 4 mth old could be) and they are safe-so I have to be doing something partially right.
If you have a blog-air your dirty laundry. I can't say it is "freeing"but it is fun to see that you are not alone when reading someone elses.
