Score one for Mama
Well maybe. You know, show no optimism because they like to take that and throw it out the window in the NICU. Anyway, last night I realized I am my child's (children's) advocate (I didn't just realize it but accepted it I guess), and it is my job to speak for them. So today I went in and asked about adding cereal to Lucas' formula. The nurse said she would ask the dr when she made her rounds. Well I got a call from the nurse and the dr said that she would add cereal and if it helped, it helped but if not then she would order the reflux tests at 37 weeks which is 4 days away. However, in the hospital world it will most likely be Monday. I really hope and pray this works because I feel like we are sitting here watching and waiting for something to either happen or not to happen but we are doing Nothing about it. That is frusterating. Anyway, for a moment I was excited that something was happening. On another note, the baby girl across from us...I still don't think she has any visitors. I guess we will see tomorrow night. The baby next to us went home today with monitors but without tests results coming back. Not sure how that happened but they have escaped.
